Favor of Unions Warns Actions Across Circles

Jefferson City, March 1. The Missouri Supreme Court ruled courts of equity cannot enjoin labor groups from enforcing boycotts. Judge Sherwood wrote the decision upholding a lower court that refused an injunction against Anthony Watson and Knights of Labor officers and United Garment Workers in St Louis. Payne to frame Cuban reciprocity bill in two sections

Washington March 19 Chairman Payne of the ways and means committee announced he would frame the Cuban reciprocity bill agreed upon at last night’s Republican conference. The measure grants the president authority to negotiate a reciprocity pact with Cuba and a 20 percent concession on all goods, with a second section invoking the Sibley amendment to limit the reciprocity period to December 2, 1933.
