Thousands of Lawrence residents dressed in green packed downtown in 70 degree weather for the 24th annual St Patrick's Day Parade. Kansas invites Santos to 50th anniversary events

U.S. university in Kansas invites Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos to attend events marking the 50th anniversary of its School for Latin American Studies. Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little extended the invitation in Bogota, noting Santos, a 1973 graduate, has not yet answered but she remains hopeful he will visit the Lawrence campus.
