Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini met at Brenner Pass in 1940 with Italy joining Germany against France and Britain. Eisenhower signed the Hawaii statehood bill in 1959. In 1965 Aleksei Leonov conducted the first spacewalk from Voskhod 2. By 1974 most Arab oil producers ended their embargo against the United States.
