Snowstorm shuts schools as it drifts across region
A late winter storm moved from the Midwest to the Northeast on Tuesday, bringing up to 10 inches of snow in parts of Ohio Connecticut and Pennsylvania nine inches in New Jersey and a possible foot in upstate New York and Massachusetts. Wet roads caused many highway crashes including two deaths in Pennsylvania. An Akron area crash may have involved snow. Meanwhile a report on ethics cleared Steven Griles of wrongdoing but criticized department ethics work. In science news a 17-year-old Massachusetts student won the Intel Science Talent Search with a discovery on telomerase inhibitors earning a 100000 college scholarship. Other top winners hailed from multiple states.
