School board pleased with applicant pool in Kansas district
School board leaders praised 18 applicants for the vacant seat left by Kristie Adair after a Tuesday presentation session. Lawrence man ordered to stand trial in sexual assault case
A 43-year-old Lawrence man was ordered to stand trial in Douglas County District Court on one felony count of aggravated criminal sodomy and misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and criminal deprivation of property. The alleged victim, a 31-year-old Lawrence woman, testified about the January incident and described cleaning her clothes with a hospital room wipe amid her recollection.
