Lawrence to Host FTA Officials Over City Bus Plan
Federal Transit Administration officials from Washington and Kansas City visit Lawrence to review requests for proposals on bus management and bus supply contracts. City administrator Karin Rexroad says they are fine tuning to meet legal requirements as bids are rebid. FTA regional administrator Mokhtee Ahmad notes such technical assistance is common for new grantees and confirms federal funding remains obligated for the Lawrence project.
