Bill would block Eisenhower Memorial design change
A Utah congressman introduced legislation to scrap the Gehry plan for the Eisenhower Memorial in Washington. Rep. Rob Bishop seeks a new design competition and would halt $100 million in future funding while reevaluating the project amid family objections and a $142 million price tag. The bill would allow site use for three years, with a House hearing planned next week and Susan Eisenhower set to testify.
