Right-to-Work Issue Returns To Kansas House
Kansas House committees revived the right to work issue with a referendum to repeal and a constitutional change proposal. The Labor Committee approved submitting a repealer, while a constitutional amendment to ease changes to the constitution was recommended by Elections. Other actions included a 75 cent minimum wage bill and higher workmen compensation limits. Coast Guardsmen carried out the first of many mercy missions by helicopter in 1944.
