Charley H Dunbar of Pueblo Colo died this morning in a Pueblo hospital. Funeral services will be here and announced later by Rumsey Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of Pueblo home two sons Walter A Dunbar of Lawrence and Francis T Dunbar of Oskaloosa and two daughters Mrs Mariel Forrester of Lawrence and Mrs Mamie Hitting of Boone Colo.

Model airplane enthusiast lifetime resident dies
The obituary notes Everett Christenson of Lawrence who pursued model airplanes for about 12 years and built his own gliders. He competed nationally with a towline glider record and had around 50 trophies. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Rumsey's Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, brother and two grandmothers. He served on the national board for contest rules.

Lawrence public library suffered a burglary overnight Thursday. Librarian Ed Howard reported the incident to police Friday. A money box containing 25 dollars and an electric coffee maker and card were taken. The front door was found unlocked when a janitor arrived Friday morning.
