Legislature advances abortion bill amid clash on penalties
The House debated a measure to set KDHE standards for abortion clinics including space, equipment, lighting, and exam tables. Rep Judy Loganbill proposed fines for violations instead of misdemeanor prosecutions, but amendments failed in a series of votes.
