Space burial for auto mechanic ends in cremation

Tucson AP reports Thomas Creighton 33 will be cremated with ashes saved for space launch in 1986 or 1987. His sister D Anne said he wished his remains sent into a mausoleum satellite 2,000 miles above Earth for at least 63 million years. He died after a transplanted heart failed and an artificial heart operated 11 hours.

Menudo concert tragedy at Rio stadium gates

Hundreds of screaming fans charged the gates of a Rio de Janeiro stadium where Menudo was to perform trample two women to death as a sold out crowd of about 10,000 waited three hours before the adolescent group’s show. Detective Jorge Silveira described a chaotic scene as the gate rush caused the fatalities.

Newsweek Poll Finds Mixed Views on Sexually Explicit Material

Newsweek reports a Gallup poll of 1,202 adults on March 6 and 7 shows two thirds favor a ban on magazines movies and videocassettes with sexual violence while a majority support availability of explicit material. About three quarters say explicit material denigrates women and contributes to violence, with 4 percent margin of error.

Farm finance worsening report finds
