Navy yards ordered to equip vessels swiftly. secrecy kept on ships sailing to avoid endangering Americans. Secretary Lansing urged newspapers and telegraphs not to publish specific arming news.
New York March 10 The emergency peace federation began an organization campaign to keep the United States from entering a war with Germany Prominent pacifists were summoned to direct the movement More than 4060 has been raised at a mass meeting where resolutions urged a joint high commission to settle the issue with Germany and urged Wilson to convene the great powers for peace Bryan sent a message supporting disarmament and opposes arming vessels carrying munitions.

Mayor Francisco and committee members plan to let residents pay for seeds from the garden crop via a seed loan contract. Sparks will issue seed offers after committee recommendations. The program uses Chamber of Commerce garden lots with plowing and seed payable from the crop, and a forfeiture clause for poor care.
The University of Kansas will host a College Faculty lecture Thursday at 4 30 in Spr Hall. Prof W W Davis of the history department will discuss The Foreign Policy as his system. Davis has taught at KU for several years and previously studied political science at Columbia University.
Laurence D. Kitchell will speak Monday afternoon at 4 30 at the university presenting a travelogue of Glacier National Park and the Blackfeet Indians. The program includes illustrated travel scenes and hand colored stereoptican slides followed by a study of Blackfeet life with authentic depictions of park natives. Filming took two months.
