Arkansas High Court upholds Little Rock land deal for library
The Arkansas Supreme Court rejected a bid to require a public vote on using city recreational funds to buy riverfront land for the Clinton Presidential Library. The ruling says the plan does not violate the state constitution as it does not tap tax money to pay $16.5 million in bonds. Abdel Ghani Meskini, 33, pleaded guilty in a separate case, admitting to helping smuggle explosives into the United States in 1999 and agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors. He was linked to Ah med Ressam, who was arrested after attempting to bring bomb materials from Canada.
