Topeka March 9 AP With major tax revision measures removed from consideration this session lawmakers initiated a recall of house action on the state graduated income tax constitutional amendment proposal. The house reconsidered its action on the Harris resolution to submit the income tax amendment at the 1930 general election. Senate actions followed against bank tax and other tax proposals as adjournment loomed, with a plan to end consideration at midnight next Wednesday and adjourn sine die.

Deputy Houston Turner will depart for Los Angeles after Eddie Carter alias Alfred Fried, wanted on charges of passing worthless checks. Carter was arrested in LA and held there awaiting extradition papers prepared by Frazer and Tanner. He is accused of passing a $2,750 bad check to purchase an organ and a $75 check at the Eldridge hotel, after posing as a theater buyer. Carter, also known as Slutsky, is believed to have used similar checks in several cities including Wichita.
