Police identify victim in second Lawrence homicide
Lawrence Police Chief Rich Lockhart named Vincent Lee Walker, 39, of Lawrence, as the man shot and killed Wednesday evening near the Lawrence Public Library. He also confirmed the earlier homicide, Davin Kerr, 18, found fatally shot on Crestline Drive late Tuesday, as part of a recent spike in violence.

In Douglas County District Court Derrick Del Reed, 18, stands charged with first degree murder in the March 18 2023 shooting that killed 14 year old Kamarjay Shaw of Lawrence.
