Margaret Ahrens of Topeka testified at a federal trial that Kansas law requiring documented proof of U S citizenship at polling places damaged voter registration efforts. The League of Women Voters of Kansas stopped taking registrations after the law took effect in 2013 due to liability concerns for voters personal information.
