Four Bound Over On Gambling Charge In District Court
Frank Bennett was bound over to the district court on operating a gambling house after a preliminary hearing this morning. His bond was set at 4500 but he could not furnish it. Lorin Starry Otto Shott and Archie Bouton were bound over on charges of setting up and operating gambling devices and released on 500 bonds each. State witnesses testified games were conducted in the Bennett secondhand store basement with knowledge of Bennett and that the other defendants operated the games.

Near death from gas engine accident in Lawrence County
