Man Is Hospitalized After Friday Fight
Tom Boyd of the Redbud Apartments West 21st Street was treated in fairly good condition at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a Friday fight at the Big Barn on US Highway 40. He sustained a facial knife wound near the left eye. an unnamed opponent was involved and Sheriff Fred Broeker said an arrest would be made today.

Shores Pleads Guilty in Assault With Intent Robbery Case
James Shores of 732 Conn. Street pleaded guilty in District Court to assault with intent to rob or maim tied to a Dec. 9 armed robbery at Trinity Episcopal Church. Sentencing is set for 1 p.m. March 16 after Mrs. Margaret Souther was struck with a lead pipe and hospitalized. Shores has been in county jail since his arrest three days after the incident.
