Lawrence to restructure top district administration
Lawrence public schools will reorganize three top posts into two to save about 80 000 to 90 000 annually. The plan, driven by retirements, creates a chief academic officer over teaching and learning and a chief operations officer directing human resources finance facilities and food services. Kim Bodensteiner will head teaching and learning, Mary Rodriguez Chief Operations Officer, and David Cunningham will lead HR for certified staff at 85 000 to 90 000.
