Judge delays death ruling in Pittsburg State student murder
Judge Donald Noland postponed final sentencing of Gary Kleypas, convicted of capital murder in the March 1996 killing of Pittsburg State University student Carrie Williams. The delay allows review of evidence and consideration of aggravating factors as prosecutors seek the death penalty. Williams family and officials filled the courtroom, while Kleypas, 41, remained silent in court.
