Teach With a Hotbed in Rural High School
A high school agriculture class used spring lab time to build a hotbed near the school, using student labor and donated materials. Sweet potatoes tomatoes and cabbage filled the bed, with several hundred plants grown and later sold or given away to defray expenses, yielding about ten dollars net for the school.
