President Eisenhower will stay overnight at his new 189 acre Gettysburg farm home in Pennsylvania marking his first overnight there. He planned to drive to the site with contractor Charles H. Tompkins to review construction details. White House press secretary James C. Hagerty said the trip is to inspect construction and because he cannot travel this weekend. He will drive back to Washington tomorrow for a morning Cabinet meeting.

Road Tax to Be Subject of Eudora Vote April 5
Residents of Eudora township will vote on Tuesday April 5 at Eudora City Hall regarding a two mill road improvement tax. Polls open 8 am to 6 pm.
