Martha Rose Austin 93 of Destin Florida died February 25 2013 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Born February 22 1920 in St John Kansas she married Gene Austin in 1940 later living in Missouri Iowa and Kansas. She was a church organist for 20 years active in bridge clubs and survived by nephews and a niece. Davis Watkins Funeral Home arranging with interment at Lawrence Memorial Park Kansas. Donations to Red Cross or charity of choice.
The new Advanced Computing Facility replaces Nichols Hall with water cooled racks and underfloor air for efficient cooling. It houses about 24 000 processing cores tripling capacity and features a 1 500 kilowatt backup generator and 500 kilowatt UPS.
