staff writer the Douglas county sheriffs department is investigating an apparent homicide involving a 19yearold Lawrence Man whose body was found Early this morning lying along East 15th Street about a mile East of sheriff Loren Anderson identified the victim As Christopher George bread and said his death is being investigated As a a combined investigative squad of Douglas county police agencies is being formed to work on the he if it is determined that bread was the victim of a it would be the first such Case in the county this an autopsy on bread was be ing performed today by Douglas county Coroner Carol Moddrell and results were not available at press Anderson said bread suffered head breads body was spotted along the Side of the Road by a Lawrence Man who was driving Home from work Anderson said the condition of the body indicated that it was found within two hours of breads the area where the body was found is with slowed Fields on either Side of East 15th Steven whose House is about 150 Yards East of where the body was said he had been interviewed by police but he did not hear or see any unusual activity in the area late thursday night or Early this Anderson said other residents in the area were being interviewed today about whether they heard any activity no weapon was located at the Anderson As of noon police said they had no suspects in the Anderson said they Are
