Mexico to Vote on Obregon Tomorrow
Mexico City June 0 AP General Alvaro Obregon will go before the people of Mexico tomorrow as the sole candidate for the presidency. Extraordinary precautions are being taken to preserve order. The Mexican army has been ordered on active duty with soldiers in barracks ready for action if disturbances develop. Squads will be stationed at or near voting booths. Civilians were forbidden to carry pistols. Saloons closed late Thursday and will not reopen until Monday morning. Courts will remain open Sunday for election cases. Senators congressmen and some state governors and legislatures are to be elected. Obregon is at Cajeme Sonora and will be officially informed of the result. He will be sworn in December 1 for a six year term. Obregon faced two opponents, Francisco Serrano and Arnulfo Gomez, both dead now after being executed as rebels. Since then no one has entered the field against him.

Harry Kersenbrock a 22 year old KU freshman athletic star died after a canoe with Byron Horn overturned on the Blue River near Crete Nebraska. He could not swim and despite a rescue attempt his body was recovered. He was nearly seven feet tall and weighed 218 pounds and was being groomed for football and basketball. He had attended Doane College and played in the national AAU tournament. He was self supporting and sent money to his mother and sister. Funeral plans were not yet set.

On May 21 before leaving for Philadelphia to enter the Quartermaster School he was guest of honor at a dinner by seventy reserve officers in Boston and was presented with a sword in appreciation of his tour as instructor.
