West Point cadet earns blue stripe for service with Pershing
Ewart, son of a U S general from this city, is among the few West Point cadets to graduate next spring and wear a blue stripe. Cadet Plank, formerly with Company M, First Kansas National Guard, served in France and trained at a British bayonet school. He faced hazing, became manager of Howitzer, the senior publication, and is on a week’s leave. Howitzer printed about 2100 copies at a cost near $10,000 with ads keeping the book afloat.

Robbers Dropped Loot After Woman's Scream At Night Corner
