June 30 St. Petersburg reports crisis unseen since 1825 as autocracy teeters over revolt. Authorities threaten martial law and sweeping measures to restore order while the Black Sea Fleet may arrive today as tension mounts among upper classes.
A dispatch from Sebastepel early this morning reports a squadron of battleships Cvishvidtella Singpe and Austlisian with several torpedo boats. Only studled Torthiess and Joel eyeulige remain. A telegram from Tromsø reports Norway mobilized most armed forces and Sweden’s border is warned. At Ula, James Williamson, a single man about 30, is jailed after arrest for breaking and robbery, with stolen goods found in his possession. Local authorities made the arrest last Wednesday night.

She will also attend the National Association of Teachers in Asbury Park, New Jersey after a week in Topeka.
John Madden of Emporia Kansas has been appointed general laborer of the Katy road in Kansas with headquarters at Parsons to succeed the late T N Sedgwick. Hubbell named general superintendent of the central district of the Recksland railroad with charge of the line from Chicaya to Denver.
Lawrence man Elijah W. Sells, chosen to head the audits and book work for a major company, once telegraph operator in Baldwin Kansas. He signed as Lige, got Tige over the wire, earning the nickname. Sells later ran attics for expert accounting in New York at Haskins & Sells and now helps audit Kansas state accounts alongside Homer A. Dunn.

In Troy Kansas Mamie Kitchell was bound over for trial at the September term on a murder charge in the June 12 shooting of her husband William Mitchell. Bond set at 15000 in default she to be confined in Atchison county jail. Mitchell was found shot through the head and his wife wounded in the arm. She claims he shot himself.
The Wear Coal company, merged with Western Coal and Mining, purchased nearly 800 acres in new coal fields in Crawford county. The land lies in a fresh area for large operations. Coal has been mined from strip pits and slopes along Drywood creek for years, but extensive development has not occurred.

Arkansas City Kansas June 20 W J Kraemer county attorney has taken steps to transfer responsibility from the governor to county officials. He issued an order to Sheriff Walfelt directing that if any law violations are found in Cowley County the sheriff should file complaints in any county court and the attorney will prosecute the cases.
