Bees Move Hive and Honey After Beekeeping Rescue

Johnson and crew in full bee keeper regalia extract a two part nest from a ceiling. One part with all larvae is placed with the hive's queen, the other with 40 to 100 pounds of honey is stored to feed bees through winter. The bees will return to the hive at sundown and be collected later. Ogden notes the workers have removed a two foot square ceiling hive with hundreds of bees. The hive box will be moved to a farm with nearly 50 other hive boxes. No one has been stung yet at the house.
