A 26-year-old Dallas man was found unconscious near a bar after it closed. He was hospitalized in Lawrence and flown by helicopter to a Kansas City area hospital in serious condition. A 31-year-old Lawrence man, detained for questioning, remained in jail as investigators probed the motive.
