Neff Confident Heber Overgaard Survives Fire Damage
Heber Overgaard Chamber of Commerce president Dave Neff toured the burned area as the Rodeo Chediski Fire raged. He notes Pinecrest Lake RV Resort loss of 168 of 200 homes and at least six businesses destroyed while 90 percent of the forest area remains untouched. Firefighters worry a second day of storms could bring wind and lightning. Neff says the area’s economy is temporarily centered in Payson and vows to stay amid heavy emotional toll.
