Downtown redevelopment consultant to be discussed in Lawrence
Lawrence city commissioners will review a draft for hiring a downtown redevelop ment consultant at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The consultant would analyze a task force prospectus to transform a block bordered by Massachusetts, New Hampshire, 10th and 11th streets into a mixed retail office and residential area nearly three times the size of the Riverfront Plaza. The study would cover tax-increment financing options, potential state grants, and redevelopment of the east side of the 700 block of New Hampshire Street.
