Foster Village Lawrence grows as foster support hub
Foster Village Lawrence, an affiliate of a national nonprofit started in Austin in 2016, serves northeastern Kansas foster families since August 2022. Founders Lori Lee, Meredith Marshall, and Jenny Lichte aim to connect caregivers, reduce isolation, and bridge families to external services, with plans for a local office, regular events, and a July lemonade stand fundraiser at Centennial Park to raise awareness and support.
