Douglas County budget eyed shifts to capital projects and tax limits
Douglas County proposes a 2018 budget to fund road and bridge capital at 14 million while increasing dirt and capital funds. The plan includes potential cuts to capital improvements and operating costs to relieve prerecounting, with options for further reductions and new program funding. Commissioners will discuss funding for justice, health, and community programs, including substance abuse and pretrial services, while seeking to stay within the state tax lid.
