Military judge halts Air Force trial over counselor records
A military judge froze the rape trial of 1st Lt. Joseph Harding after the accuser's civilian rape counselor refused to provide conversations records. Harding remains to face a separate indecent assault charge against another cadet. The ruling drew sharp criticism from the alleged victim's lawyer. In a separate case, Patrick Langballe and Aaron Rush were charged with hate crime and related offenses for a June 16 attack on two teenagers at Illinois Beach State Park near Zion. Bail set at 1 million and 1.5 million, respectively, with next court date July 18. The teens, 17 and 18, from Milwaukee, had met the defendants near a bus stop then camped at the park.
