Wildfires in Colorado May Benefit Long-Term Wildlife Habitats
Survey by Colorado Division of Wildlife experts assesses short term losses and long term recovery for deer elk birds and fish after the Bobcat Gulch and Hi Meadows fires. While immediate effects are negative, experts say wildlife can rebound as habitat regenerates with rain and natural regrowth, with fire often renewing ecosystems and supporting future wildlife.
