Virgil E. Wilson died Thursday night at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Funeral services set for 2:30 PM Monday at Eudora Evangelical United Brethren Church with burial in Eudora Cemetery. He lived in the Eudora vicinity over 60 years at a residence 3 1/2 miles southeast. Survived by three sisters Mrs Henry Westerhaus Mrs O E Hundley and Mrs Howard Koehler of Eudora a brother Walter Wilson eight nephews and 12 nieces.

Handyman Faces Death Penalty in Hammer Slayings
In Quincy Florida a one legged handyman was found guilty of first degree murder in the hammer slayings of a woman and her 2 year old son. Sie Dawson 41 was given a death sentence with no mercy recommendation and the sentence held until a judge rules on a new trial motion. Dawson convicted for the death of Roger Glenn Clayton. he was not tried in the killing of Maggie Clay. A witness said Clayton was at the scene except for 35 minutes when he delivered a load of wood.

KU Brigadoon Sneak Preview At Peak House Draws 935 Fans
A near capacity crowd of over 935 attended a sneak preview of Kansas University's tour version of Brigadoon at Near Peak House. The cast and USO officials gathered for a reception in Murphy Hall afterward.
