Exchange program links Japanese and Kansas organic farmers
Lawrence hosts second fact finding visit by Japanese farmers as part of Global Partnership for Local Organic Foods. Patricia Graham, coordinator and KU art PhD, leads a coalition including Kansas Rural Center and IFOAM Japan. Participants tour local organic farms, visit the Saturday Farmers Market, and plan pilot community projects this fall to promote organic agriculture.
