A 10 foot 6 inch bronze statue of Icarus by Charles Umlauf is set on the KU West Campus near the Space Technology Building after a storage period of about three years. Gift from Phillips Petroleum, the sculpture was cast in Italy and originally cost 25 000 dollars.
