Vandalism Damage Tops $3,000 In KU Campus Incident
Lawrence police report over 29 car vandalism acts Tuesday night on the Kansas University campus and nearby streets. Two 12 year old boys are to be turned over to Juvenile Court. several cars had tires slashed tops cut and sides scratched. Many damaged vehicles belong to out of state conference attendees.

Cigarette Labels Ordered To Warn Of Health Risks
The Federal Trade Commission sued to require by next year that all cigarette labels and ads carry a health warning. The rule deems failing to disclose health dangers in advertising and on packaging as unfair or deceptive. Warnings must appear on packs by January 1, 1965 and in advertising by July 1, 1965. The exact language remains undecided.

Infant Dies of Tragic Cause in Family Home
Amy Schick aged one month, daughter of Mr and Mrs Doyle Schick of 2422 National Lane, died this afternoon after a nonactivated fire department respirator call. She was rushed to Lawrence Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The Schicks have three other daughters. Mrs Schick is the former Sharon Hazelet of Lawrence.

Lawrence woman charged in attempted fraud case with 11 year old daughter
A 41 year old Lawrence woman pleaded innocent in Police Court to an attempted fraud charge after she and her 11 year old daughter collected about $10 by asking residents to donate money to bury a dead child. The trial is set for July 2 and the mother is jailed on $200 bond. The daughter was sent to Juvenile Court.

Frank Cherry Leitnaker longtime Baldwin resident and former Baldwin Ledger owner and publisher died in Kansas City. He taught journalism at Baker University from 1956 to 1963.
