Supreme Court halves challenge to Voting Rights Act

Baby sea lion rescued after wandering onto freeway

A malnourished baby sea lion wandered onto Interstate 880 near the Oakland Coliseum, rode in a police car, then was taken to The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito. Officers and center staff noted the pup is active but thin as wildlife authorities report a regional rise in stranded sea lions due to depleted small fish stocks.
