County portraits may give way to new museum exhibit
Douglas County commissioners want the Watkins Community Museum of History to draft a plan for a permanent exhibit on county government. The Eudora Township Fire Department hosts its second annual open house and safety fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire station 310 W. 20th St. Vehicles, equipment, and an air ambulance display will be shown after 10 a.m. A maze with nontoxic smoke demonstrates fire escape.
