Protein intake guidance from WHO and nutritionists
WHO recommends about 0.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight daily, roughly 60 grams for men and 50 for women, with protein needs varying by diet. Nutritionists advise mixing protein sources from dairy seafood beans nuts and other plants, emphasize spreading protein across meals, and note animal proteins are easier to digest but can bring saturated fat. exercise remains key for muscle building.
