Local family opens Little Free Library in front yard
The Abromeit family planted a Little Free Library at 2006 Quail Drive to foster neighbor book swaps. Derrick Abromeit, a Gardner-Edgerton High School teacher, built the recycled wood box after seeing similar libraries in Iowa City. He hopes the project boosts community spirit and helps his family compete in a friendly summer reading battle.
