Ex-Sooner Alleges Houston pressure forced signing
Former Oklahoma lineman Ralph Neely testified he signed an undated contract with the Houston Oilers under pressure. He said the deal would not take effect until January 2 and that he later canceled it by returning the contract on December 29. He also noted a $25,000 signing bonus and a four year, $16,000 per year deal plus a $5,000 annual income from a real estate business. The Oilers seek to enforce the contract while Neely had already informed the Dallas Cowboys of his intention to sign there. The trial resumed in Oklahoma City.
