Pardon bid for gun accessory firm leader meets governor pushback
Pardon seek by P. Bader, vice president and treasurer of TriStar Arms in Kansas City, faces denial by Gov. Jeff Colyer. Kobach advocates say Bader’s expunged record and a 2009 attempted robbery charge linked to a cab driver prompted the push. Colyer notes pardons rare and not for political favors. Kobach sought action before Brownback left office, citing gun rights and restoration of rights for Bader’s business.
