Pearson Pushes Blend Price Plan for Wheat
Sen. James B. Pearson proposes amending the 1965 farm act to guarantee a blend price floor for wheat at 15 percent of parity, shielding farmers as they expand output for domestic and foreign needs. He cites 1966 and 1967 blend prices near $1.84 and $1.78 and warns price drops could follow favorable growth abroad and in Red China.
