About 20 Douglas County residents met at the 4-H Fairgrounds Monday night to form a rural organization to act as a citizens lobby and communications channel with county government. The Clinton Landowners Assn. guided the effort with acting secretary Mrs. Ted Kennedy noting the new group will address rural problems such as planning roads and highways. The organizational committee will meet August 2 to define the group's purpose. current members are Don Palmateer Charles Durr and Carroll Gerstenberger with two more to be named.
