Ryun to Try Trials Double at Olympic Trials
Jim Ryun will run both 800 and 1500 meters at the Olympic Trials set June 29 to July 9 in Eugene Oregon. Coach Bob Timmons notes Ryun seems determined to attempt the double, with only four days between a 1500 heats schedule and the 1500 heats later. Only one runner has completed the middle distance double since 1920, Peter Snell in 1964.
