Wahl, Ex-Med School Dean, Dies of Cancer at 70
Dr. Harry R. Wahl, 70, former dean of the University of Kansas Medical School, died Monday after an extended illness with cancer. He led the school through its tough years and was to be named professor emeritus with a new science building named in his honor. He was born in Minnesota, studied at Wisconsin and Johns Hopkins, and taught at Western Reserve before joining KU. He left a wife, two daughters, and two sons in the family.
