Weekend events spotlight cat show and Juneteenth celebration
A busy weekend opens with Priest hosting the International Cat Show drawing 100 cats from 15 states and Canada, while Lawrence marks Juneteenth with music, education, and community gatherings. Organizers aim to broaden the festival and educate through tours, murals, and oral histories at Kansas University. A Clinton Lake Marina fundraiser by Van Go JAMS features art bids, hoping to exceed thirty thousand dollars for youth programs.
